Love Resists
Dear  Friend,
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security recently announced that it has been surveilling the social media activity of immigrants -- and anyone who communicates with them. The FBI has also issued a policy change designating Black activists -- whose central demands are that government officials be responsible stewards of their power -- as national security threats.

When Love Resists talks about criminalization, this is what we mean. Because of xenophobia and racism, by virtue of someone’s identity, their very humanity, indeed their entire community becomes targeted by law enforcement.
Join us on November 14 at 7pm EST/ 4pm PDT for a webinar:

Love Resists Criminalization: Mass Incarceration, Deportation,
and Surveillance Today

Hear from organizers on the front lines of resisting criminalization and learn where you can fit into this growing social movement. Speakers include Fatima Ahmad, Deputy Director, Muslim Justice League (MA) and Jamila Hammami, Executive Director, Queer Detainee Empowerment Project (NY) among others.

Learn more about criminalization and how we’re working to combat it, as well as find spiritual grounding and support for doing this work, on our Love Resists blog.
