Immigrant Justice News: #SanctuaryEverywhere
Dear ,

Now is the hour. Unitarian Universalists fighting for immigrant justice have never been more needed. Mass deportations under a Trump administration are a very real possibility and we need to prepare now.

Please join a call tonight, Thursday, November 17th, at 8 pm ET, 5 pm PT hosted by the Cosecha Movement and SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) for #SanctuaryEverywhere.

The #SanctuaryEverywhere movement is about building a movement of allies, especially people of faith, who are committed to organizing their friends, families, and congregations to put their bodies and resources on the line for the undocumented community.

Register here.

If you are interested but can't make the call you should still register so that you can receive the notes afterwards.

During the call we will be having short breakouts. The questions to discuss during the breakouts are as follows:

  • Name and location.
  • What actions are you moved to take?
  • What have you or your community done?
  • What are you going to do?

It's more important than it’s ever been to make sure we are showing up for the undocumented community.

Also, please sign the pledge to resist deportation and discrimination through sanctuary. For more information, you can also watch this Interfaith Immigration Coalition webinar (and view power point) that was held on Tuesday.

For Latinx UUs and Latinx friends of UUs – Mijente is hosting a community building for resistance conference Dec. 2-4 in Puerto Rico. It’s not too late to apply!

In solidarity,
